A Reckoning Is Needed

What happened to Charlie Kirk is but a microcosm of what going wrong in our country. In order to understand the nature what’s causing this, we must be honest with ourselves.

Political rhetoric is fueling this aberration and although both the American Left and the Right engage in the war of words, the ones with the greatest potential for violence is the American Left. Why? Their stereotypical profile is telling.

People who are right of center in the American political spectrum, tend to be and there are exceptions, God fearing, religious, go to church, are patriotic, pro-constitution, law-abiding, have served in the military, are employed, can be found disproportionately as first responders, don’t use drugs, raise flags, may be married with children, may have an education, often have a small footprint in social media, if any at all, and call for respecting the law. And are never seen posting videos laughing at the tragedy of someone on the left or threatening them.

But many who identify as left of center, and there are exceptions, are usually atheist or follow some new-age, unorthodox believe system, hate Christianity, many are unemployed, living on some sort of assistance or paid as professional protesters, hate the military and police, many are habitual drug users, many are highly educated, many are single with no children, and are obsessed with social media where they are often found laughing at the tragedy of someone on the right or making threats against them.

The 2016 presidential campaign that resulted in the election of Donald Trump, prompted leftist political activism not seen in the United States in decades. In the September 2017 issue of the Atlantic, Peter Beinart asserted the majority belief among mainstream progressives that “President Trump, is a racist and that his campaign had fascist undertones." And if anything, it has exponentially increased in the call for violence, which they disguise as “resistance.”

Groups like Black Lives Matter, established by two self-described “trained Marxists” and Antifa, a loose federation of violent miscreants young and old, college educated, communists, anarchists, gays, transgender and others from the fringes of society, have emerged, characterized by their well coordinated direct action against their perceived opposition, including the use of extreme physical violence and other tactics such as doxing—publicly exposing personal information of individuals, destruction of private property and attacking police.

There is nuanced debate within leftist circles regarding the legitimacy and effectiveness of political violence, with many arguing that it isn’t a necessary response to the setbacks they have suffered under the two elections of Donald Trump.

But the overall attitude that the changes they seek will [only] come from revolution, is the dominant perspective. So the question is this, if revolution is necessary to achieve their socialist goals, shouldn’t it begin with the elimination of the opposition’s most influential operatives?

The answer is self-evident with the assassination of Charlie Kirk in front of his family.
